Notes on international Christmas shipping
November 19, 2008, 06:10 EST

For Christmas orders out of the store, Jeff has encouraged us to give "a gentle nudge to International Customers to order before 30 November if they want to ship using International First Class. After that, we'll encourage International Priority or better."

I know, I know, it's not even Black Friday yet, but better early than late for shipping information.

Election night bet tallies
November 5, 2008, 04:22 EST

On the down side, I'm probably going to lose a $5 bet that Obama would not reach 375 electoral votes or +10% of the popular vote. The final states haven't been called yet, so we'll see.

On the up side, I'm due $50 from Pontus Madsen, who was convinced that there was no way in hell that the U.S. would ever elect a black man with "Hussein" as a middle name. Take that, Sweden!

I have a new bet with Dom on how movies will demonstrate that they take place in an alternate reality now that the president actually is black. He says Asian president. My money is on female Muslim president.

Please join us in trying to get "boneriffic" into the New York Times word train.

(This is assuming you're actually feeling boneriffic. I would wouldn't want you to lie or anything.)

Chug'n Along
November 2, 2008, 22:20 EST

I seem to have the old computer running again for the most part. Seems my copy of windows corrupted... Again. So I had to blast the whole drive clean and start fresh. Seems to be working so far.

Only data I seem to have lost is the high res PSD of the latest comic. So if we ever do a book print of these comics, this one is gonna look fuzzy... Sucks really, it's the first time in almost 8 years I've lost a comic original.

Thanks again for all the email support I've received over the last two weeks. It did help. Hopefully I can keep this thing running for just long enough for me to get a new laptop. (Some of these keyboard keys are being held together by scotch tape. >_>)

Later,

Just finished this comic on Jes's computer. Man, I didn't realise how much I had gotten used to Photoshop CS3 till I used the version 7 still installed on hers. Though I admit the triple monitors is swank.

Thank you for the emails on ideas on how to awake the sleeping beast that is my XPS laptop. I'll give them a go. I think I've been able to reply to nearly all of them, but incase I missed a few, again, thanks for the support.

Computer Bork'd
October 29, 2008, 01:55 EST

Problems in matching sets.

Tuesday night, I finished the project that canceled last week's comic and backed it up. I then started working on the comic for this week and my computer shut down. I haven't been able to get it to start back up.

I get passed the beginning bios boot screen then it hangs at a blinking cursor on a blank screen.

Until I can figure this out, I'll try and do the comic on Jes's computer Wednesday night. I'm sorry for the double delay on updates. I really want to show off my latest accomplishment so you can understand what my time has been feeding into, but it'll continue to wait until it's designated time, regardless of the comic's status.

Poor XPS, how many more years do you have left in you? You've served me so well... er... Ignoring the three fried video cards and four HD wipes... Besides that it's a spotless record.

Busy week here too.

Kwanzoo launches today at the Digital Hollywood in Los Angeles. I'm not attending, but I've been running around the past few days taking care of last minute stuff, as has everyone else. I hope things calm down a little after this.

Comic cancelled for this week.
October 20, 2008, 02:11 EST

I'm wrapping up a pretty major project right now, so the comic is a bit delayed. However, I'm sure that if you like my work here at Three Panel Soul, you'll dig what I've been creating this passed month.

EDIT: I don't see how I can complete the comic before Friday this week with what I need done, so I'd rather just make the next post the following Monday. Some times life gets in the way of comics, sorry.

Stuff and other things
October 13, 2008, 04:47 EST

I dunno, don't read too much into this. It's just funny when people whose job involves cultivating a respectable image flip the hell out. Which seems to be a good summary of the past couple of weeks.

Speaking of good summaries, here's a non-stick figure writeup of how we got here.

Well, according to my comic file labellings, this is comic #100. Not the most amazing mark on the comic wagon trail, hell there's comics out there in the thousands, but to me, every 50 just means, that we've made it, with this new comic, through another year with out getting sick of it.

Looking back through the archive, it makes me happy to see so many different rendering styles for the comic over the last year. I hope that Matt feels his writing has been flexible as well for this run. After all the comic really serves as a way for the both of us to keep up skills we might not work out in our day jobs.

Also, if you check out the banner above you'll see we're starting to gear up for the winter sales. These outerwear are just the first of what we have planned over the next two months. I hope you dig our offerings and want to support our efforts with a purchase. Check it, our first hoodie!
